How Clientlly collects, uses, stores, and protects your data — including data accessed through Google services. Last updated June 6, 2026.
Who we are
Clientlly provides a business management platform for invoicing, client management, expenses, time tracking, HR, inventory, and related operations. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions can be sent to privacy@clientlly.com.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly: account details (name, email, organization), business records you enter (clients, invoices, expenses, documents), and support communications. We also collect limited technical data automatically — IP address, device and browser type, and usage events — to operate and secure the service.
How we use information
We use your information to provide and maintain the service, authenticate you, process transactions, deliver notifications you request, provide customer support, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
Google user data
When you choose to connect Google services, we request access using Google OAuth only for enabled features. Sign in with Google (email and profile) is used to authenticate you and create or match your account. Google Drive readonly access is used only when you explicitly connect Drive in Documents, so you can browse and import your own files. We do not modify or delete your Drive files.
Limited Use disclosure (Google API Services)
Clientlly's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements. We use Google user data only to provide and improve the user-facing features described above; we do not transfer or sell it to third parties except as needed to provide the service, comply with law, or as part of a merger or acquisition; we do not use it for advertising; and we do not allow humans to read it unless you consent, it is necessary for security or law, or the data is aggregated and anonymized.
Data sharing
We share information only with service providers who help us run the platform, such as hosting, database, payment, and email delivery providers, under contracts requiring them to protect the data and use it only to provide services to us. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the service.
Data storage and security
Data is stored on secured cloud infrastructure. We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and tenant isolation so each organization's records remain separate. OAuth tokens are stored securely and used only to perform actions you have authorized. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard measures.
Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can disconnect Google services at any time from Documents, which revokes Clientlly's stored access tokens. You may request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to legal retention requirements.
Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can revoke Google access at any time from the app or your Google Account permissions page. To exercise any right, email privacy@clientlly.com.
Children's privacy
Clientlly is a business product not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to our practices or for legal reasons. We will update the Last updated date above and, where appropriate, notify you of material changes.
